I remember the good old days where ice cream was made. Me and my siblings would hand crank the ice cream and we would have a blast doing so. This helped us to bond. However, in this modern age, there are new automated ice creams makers that don’t need the user to manually crank it. Well, I guess it’s essential in today’s busy world for some but I personally feel that hand cranked ice cream makers are the best. I love making my own ice cream. By doing so, I can control the ingredients used to make it. My spouse has type I diabetes and a few food allergies. Usually, if we go out, he will not be able to eat any ice cream. However, with this ice cream maker, she eats ice cream almost every week. At first we were a little skeptical about changing the ingredients to make our ice cream (as provided by the manual) but after the first try, we were amazed at how easy it was. Even at your first attempt, the ice cream came out perfect.

The process of making ice cream using the Maxi-Matic Elite Gourmet is quite long, around 45 minutes. Those who want their ice cream in a hurry should consider other ice cream makers first. People have a busy lifestyle now. Hand cranking the ice cream for 45 minutes would sometimes be too troublesome or tiring. Thankfully this ice cream maker comes with an electrical crank as well. Automatic and manual cranking can be switched with just a button.

All in all, the Maxi-Matic Elite Gourmet Old Fashioned Pine Bucket is an excellent machine. There are some problems with its durability though, but mine still looks good. I highly recommend this machine to families.
